Devern lost his life in Vietnam while serving his country. We had a lot of fun together growing up. He will be greatly missed by his friends as we reminiss the good times gone by.
DeVern graduated from ISU and was the Cadet Commander of the ROTC. He recieved several commendations during his service which ended way to quickly for Capt. L. Devern Probart a great friend forever.
DeVern was killed in a helicopter crash in Vietnam on 17 July 1969...We were lab buddies, sitting on the top back row in Mr. Hunt's physic's class senior year....Another really good guy whose life was ended way too early by that damn war..
