Bill and I grew up within a couple of blocks of each other and were good friends. Because I couldn't get away from work to attend a class reunion before, my first reunion was our 40th. It was there I saw that Bill was listed in the "In Memoriam" group. I was so unnerved by this it was part of the reason I have never attended another reunion. He was a good friend and a good person.
