Merry Christmas 2016

Dear Classmates,

The Idaho State Journal article dated May 19, 1961 stated "the largest graduating class in Pocatello High School's history, some 500 strong, will receive diplomas May 26th."  We were a very large class and I suspect that most of you were like me, and certainly did not know everyone in our class.  Our reunions and our monthly luncheons have given us the opportunity to get to know some of these classmates better.  We meet the third Wednesday of each month, at 1:00 pm, at a different restaurant here in Pocatello.  So, if you live here, or if ever in town at that time we would love to have you attend.  Just call Pat Turman (251-0047), Cheri Honas (851-0458) or myself (339-6608) to find out the location for the month.  Each of our lives took a different path when we left the hallowed halls of Poky.  The reunions and luncheons give us the opportunity to explore those paths.  I can say from firsthand experience that we have some mighty fine folks from this class.

As we come to the end of another year and reflect on the events of the past year, our 55th Class Reunion has to be right near the top.  We had a great turn out, and a good time was had by all.  Most expressed a desire for another reunion in 5 years.  So, if we are still around and able, we will try to put another one together.  The sad part was we also lost several more classmates.  It breaks my heart each time I learn of another loss, but renews my appreciation for each new day I am granted to enjoy life.

Merry Christmas to you and yours, I hope you get to spend the holidays with those you love.  Most of all, for the New Year I wish each of you good health.
